Most Orange County municipals have brand-new mayors sufficing for the next year.
Each December, city council in the majority of the province choose from among their members a person to serve the year as mayor and represent the city, as well as a mayor pro tem.
Only eight municipalities have voters who immediately prefer their mayor: Anaheim, Costa Mesa, Garden Grove, Irvine, Orange, Santa Ana, Stanton and Westminster.
