Hundreds of parties gathered in downtown San Clemente on Sunday, April 19, announcing for the end of a state-mandated stay-at-home order aimed at curbing the spread of coronavirus.
The protesters- tightly parcelled in defiance of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s social distancing guidelines- impounded American pennants and signalings with such slogans as” No Liberty, No Life, Re-open California ,” and” I am an AMERICAN and I am FREE !” Most of the demonstrators did not wear masks.

The opponents mustered near San Clemente Pier and marched about half a mile uphill to the intersection of Avenida Del Mar and El Camino Real. A ponderous brook of cars flowed through Avenida Del Mar, with motorists honking at the demonstrators.
