A Naval Special Warfare Command SEAL is the first to research positive for coronavirus, command officials said Thursday, March 19.
Test results on Thursday confirmed that the second-class petty officer, who was training at Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor, tested positive for coronavirus. The mastery is based at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado.
” The individual is currently isolated on base and restricted in movement in accordance with the Middle for Disease Control and Prevention Guidelines ,” said Navy Lt. Matthew Stroup, a command spokesman.” The other members of the group who were in close contact with the marine are also quarantined on base out of an abundance of carefulnes. They remain in close contact with medical professionals at meter .”
Stroup’s evidence was indicated that U.S. Special Actions Command and the Navy are committed to do all those measures possible to protect the health of their force.
On Sunday, a sailor at Naval Base San Diego was the first sailor in California to exam presumptive positive. He is in quarantine off base, Navy officials reported then.
