With all districts reporting on Wednesday, Dan Bane, Laura Ferguson and incumbent Kathy Ward appeared set to capture three open seats on the San Clemente City Council.
The 12 -candidate race centered on topics such as halting the Toll Road, public safety, homelessness, the risk of nuclear waste and delivering back a hospital.
Bane pledged to continue efforts to stop the Toll Road at Oso Parkway while Ferguson pushed for more public safety during her expedition. Ward also campaigned on a desire to halt the Toll Road and pushed to remove nuclear waste and bring back a infirmary and emergency room.
